Job Summary Castalia Systems is seeking an experienced CNO Reverse Engineer to join our team supporting one of our government customers on a truly exciting contract. On this program you will be part of the team developing new capabilities and novel solutions for cybersecurity tools. Roles and Responsibilities A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to: Perform reverse engineering of hardware components, software applications and operating systems to determine functionality, code structure, and circuit design for use in the design and development of Cybersecurity tools. Document and deliver reports, proof-of-concept code, prototypes and hands-on demonstrations. Author and participate in technical presentations and assigned projects. The Level 1 CNO Reverse Engineer shall possess the following capabilities: Program in Assembly, C, C#, C++, Java, Perl, or Python. Administer and use hardware and software reverse engineering tools. (U) Program using CNO tools and techniques. Use software version control tools (e.g., Subversion and CVS). Create and brief technical presentations. In addition to the above capabilities, the Level 2 CNO Reverse Engineer shall possess the following capabilities: Provide written reports, proof-of-concept code, prototypes, and hands-on demonstrations. Provide/author and participate in technical presentations on assigned projects. In addition to the above capabilities, the Level 3 CNO Reverse Engineer shall possess the following capabilities: Lead reverse engineering of hardware components, software applications and operating systems to determine functionality, code structure, and circuit design for use in the design and development of Cybersecurity Tools. Knowledge and Skills Level 1 CNO Reverse Engineer Five (5) years of experience in computer science, information systems, or network engineering to include two (2) years of demonstrated experience in either hardware or software reverse engineering. (U) Bachelor's Degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering. Level 2 CNO Reverse Engineer Eight (8) years of experience in computer science, information systems, or network engineering to include five (5) years of demonstrated experience in either hardware or software reverse engineering. Bachelor's Degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering. 5 years of Computer Forensics Experience 5 years of In-depth kernel-level programming Level 3 CNO Reverse Engineer Ten (10) years of experience in computer science, information systems, or network engineering to include five (5) years of demonstrated experience in either hardware or software reverse engineering.
