Our client is a company operating a marketplace for consumers, sellers, and content creators. It offers merchandise and content purchased for resale from vendors and those offered by third party sellers. Job Title: Project/Program Manager II Location: Bellevue, WA 98004 Duration: 6 Months Job Type: Contract Work Type: Onsite Job Description: Responsible for the coordination and completion of a risk or compliance project/ program. Oversees all aspects of projects which focus on developing processes, procedures, mechanisms and reporting for a Compliance focused team. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/ program. Requires bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 4-7 years of experience in compliance, risk, audit, or related fields. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. High preference for experience with a regulated business, audit or compliance practices, etc. Story Behind the Need Business Group & Key Projects: Business Group or Team Culture: The team is a collaborative team; looking to build a process to support Kuiper business. Support Kuiper service compliance. Very open/ supportive team Key projects: Carve out items where it does not require same engagement over and over. Discreet projects, processes that need to be built, ongoing routines that need stewardship. Will work strictly with CW's Opening up capacity for the Kuiper team. Typical Day in the Role: Administrative side: Queue of communications from regulators. (Inbox: legal entity in France) Need to respond and triage. Need someone to own that while the team is building the automation. Need to be able to receive mail everywhere as not all places are set implemented. May make multiple calls throughout the day to find correct person who will get mail sent to the team. Building side: Building processes into place, setting project timelines, working with stakeholders to get correct info in place. Someone needs to be on top of checking every item that is received. Items received in over 130 countries. Need to be able to translate it, figure out situation, if no process is implemented need to figure one out. Also keep documentation of it. This is where compliance is very important Considering the impact of the future, in case of audits. Additional projects: To track request from regulators (need to build process for that eventually not at this current point in time.) Research for law enforcement response (depending on candidate if this project would work.) with regulatory research from a regulator legal perspective more technical in nature. Interaction level w/ team: Working closely with HM Team is great and very helpful Can reach out to members on the team for help Will be interacting with stakeholders and contracting partners Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition: Role interesting: Working with space Focused on service component Widely international; including spaces where Client hasn't gone yet.
