Job Description: Business Development / Market Segment Lead; Job Description The lead of a market segment is responsible for defining, articulating and implementing a strategy for a specific market that will maximize SiFive's business opportunity over a three to five-year period. This role requires a deep understanding of the segment, including hardware, software, tools, the value chain and profit pools. We are looking for a BD / Market Segment Lead for the Embedded Edge/Microcontroller market. This includes deeply embedded CPU use cases such as microcontrollers, embedded controllers, storage controllers, Edge AI, or deep embedded applications such as touch controllers, image sensors, or analog and MEMS devices. Some responsibilities include: Strategy Development ; Creating a clear vision and strategy for the segment, including objectives (TCV, market share gains, golden design wins, Gartner magic quadrant as possible examples) and how to achieve them as well as identifying potential obstacles and strategies to mitigate them Defining the "Why SiFive" for the segment ; This involves understanding the approach incumbents take to solve the problem today, market dynamics causing unmet needs, competitive landscape etc. Working alongside the Product Manager & Product Team, driving the "Whole product definition" ; Identifying required collateral and tools, along with creating compelling roadmaps for both hardware and software pieces from SiFive Identification of key partners that provide vital, complementary-to-SiFive technology with the objective of increasing the value and credibility of the SiFive offering as well as derisking a customer's choice to select SiFive. There is also the goal of driving the relationship with 3rd parties toward a "SiFive first" mentality Identification of key software ecosystem needs and driving resolution across ecosystem to achieve these, either uniquely by SiFive or through collaboration with 3rd parties including RISE Contributing to product development by understanding customer preferences and driving the definition of SiFive's hardware and software roadmaps (and potentially the company's business model) to align with the segment's future requirements Segment Collateral; This person is accountable for ensuring SiFive's commercial team is armed with the appropriate materials to be successful (as measured by closing deals in a timely manner) in customer engagements Customer Engagement; This person will be visiting customers directly and with the sales team to drive activities within the segment, including direct sales, partnerships, ecosystems, and multi-party cooperation Analyzing market intelligence ; Monitoring sales performance and analyzing market intelligence to identify growth opportunities Working alongside the Corporate Marketing teams, driving outbound marketing ; Orchestrating the outbound marketing "voice" for the segment (website, PR, digital outreach, tradeshow presence, keywords etc) in a way that Increases industry recognition of SiFive's participation, value proposition and credibility in the segment Generates funnel of relevant new business opportunities for the commercial team Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Technical or a related field 15 years business consulting and/or experience in comparable functions with business development responsibilities End-to-end deal experience, including identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships such as large scale marketing deals, technical collaborations, complex digital media transactions, and strategic technology relationships Ability to develop and execute strategic plans Project management - excellent attention to detail, solid organization skills and the ability to manage project teams In-depth understanding of embedded markets including trends across microcontrollers, NXP, TI, Renesas, etc. Consistent record of driving sophisticated engagements externally with partners and internally to drive alignment Excellent communication and presentation skills Nice to haves: Technical experience in hardware or software is a plus Familiarity with RISC-V or ARM / the semiconductor industry is a plus Pay & Benefits Consistent with SiFive values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline, and our compensation range reflects the cost of labor in the U.S. geographic market based on the location of the role. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant work experience. For candidates who receive and offer, the starting salary will vary based on various factors including, but not limited to, such qualifications as, skill level, competencies, and work location. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. Base Pay Range $209,250.00-$255,750.00 In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for variable/ incentive compensation and/ or equity.
