Job Description PCG is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant for its Corporate Accounting operations based in Lenexa, KS . This individual will: Reconcile sub-ledger accounts to general ledger for all companies. Participate in month-end close process. Journal entries and other general accounting. Research and analytical problem solving. Be detail oriented, reliable, and well organized. Ability to work independently and in a team environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Respond to Branch inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Prepare summary financial information and ad hoc reporting to management as needed. Possess good computer skills and demonstrate the ability to learn new computer functionality. Work well with others through all methods of communication. External audit assistance and preparation of schedules. Special projects as needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required At least 4 years of experience in Accounting Must possess advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel(pivot tables, V look-ups, formulas, etc.) Strong attention to detail Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Self-starter who can effectively prioritize workload Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced work environment Experience working in a high-volume accounting environment Strong ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues Displays resourcefulness and ability to locate information independently Preferred Requirements: At least 4 years of experience in public accounting preferred CPA preferred Construction industry experience preferred Experience with fixed asset accounting preferred Experience with inventory accounting preferred Experience with data analytics preferred Local to the Kansas City Metro Area This role is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.
