We are seeking a talented and experienced Simulation and Emulation Development Engineer to join our Space Networking Group Engineering Team. The Simulation and Emulation will play a key role in the design, implementation and deployment of Intuitive Machines' Space Network and the Near Space Network contract. Responsibilities: Participate in the design, development and implementation of the Intuitive Machines Space Network architecture and services. Provide technical support and expertise during mission planning, execution, and post mission analysis. Participate in the development of the Space Networking R&D Laboratory. Lead the implementation and management of the Space Networking R&D Laboratory. Evaluation and integration of OTS Simulation and Emulation appliances and tools. Develop tools for visualization of network status and various metrics. Develop tools and procedures to capture and analyze logging information from various sources. Participate in the definition of the figures of merit and metrics to evaluate network performance, capacity and reliability. Collaborate in the development of service level agreements and network management procedures. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with external research groups and commercial partners. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development in C, C++, Rust programming languages, Python and other scripting tools. Experience working with and developing in Unix/Linux Operating System, RTOS, VxWorks environments. Clear understanding and experience with internetworking protocols such as the TCP/IP protocol suite. Experience with software development methodologies and tools, including Agile and DevOps practices, with creative approach to problem solving, software quality and testing. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Gitlab, Docker, Confluence, Jira, SQL databases, Elastic Search and Kibana. Preferred knowledge on IETF and CCSDS Standards, Delay Tolerant Networking and Bundle Protocol. Preferred knowledge on terrestrial, radio, satellite and optical communications. Effective verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Ability and willingness to work under compressed and aggressive delivery schedules in a collaborative cross-disciplinary team environment.
