Job Summary: The IT Business Architect is responsible for aligning IT initiatives with enterprise strategy by developing and maintaining IT architectures, with a primary focus on the Business and Data domains. The architect will work closely with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners of one of Florida's top Healthcare Systems located in Orlando. You will be working to design and implement IT solutions that enhance the organization's ability to meet its strategic goals. The role requires a strong background in business architecture, data architecture, and data capture methodologies. Essential Functions: Architecture Development: Collaborate with solution providers, internal IT partners, and business/clinical stakeholders to design, develop, and enhance reference architectures for business and clinical products or workflows. Ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals. Enterprise Framework Adherence: Follow the Enterprise Architecture framework to develop a structured approach for capturing key enterprise views, ensuring IT systems align with defined architectures. Strategic Roadmaps: Lead the development of 3-5 year roadmaps for the assigned domain, in collaboration with business and IT leadership. Ensure roadmaps are aligned with industry trends, business growth plans, and sequence underlying initiatives. Cross-Domain Leadership: Lead large, cross-domain initiatives, applying digital standards to project solution architecture. Drive technical strategy and facilitate architectural tradeoff discussions to ensure optimal outcomes. Architectural Integrity: Ensure the overall integrity of the architecture designed to support specific business capabilities, consulting on the implementation of solutions based on architectural requirements. Domain Expertise: Maintain a broad, enterprise-wide view of the assigned domain, with an understanding of strategy, processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance. Technology Adoption: Participate in the design and implementation of new technologies and enhancements to existing platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals. Continuous Improvement: Assess areas for improvement and lead efforts to reshape business processes and strategies as needed. Collaboration: Work closely with quality and regulatory stakeholders to ensure IT products and services are optimized to support quality, safety, growth, and economic goals. New Technology Exploration: Partner with other architects to explore new technologies and product opportunities that align with organizational objectives. Documentation and Analysis: Assist in the development of SBARs, proformas, and other documentation to facilitate IT analysis, evaluation, and prioritization of new technologies. Analytics Solutions: Contribute to the design and implementation of analytics solutions, including predictive analytics, visualization tools, variance analysis, and reporting. Communication: Effectively communicate with IT and non-IT partners across the organization, providing domain architecture guidance and oversight. Process Improvement: Lead multidisciplinary groups in process analysis and performance improvement initiatives. Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of HIPAA, privacy, and confidentiality standards, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Attendance: Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT architecture, with a focus on business and data architecture. Proven experience in data capture methodologies and the design of analytics solutions. Experience leading cross-functional teams and large-scale IT initiatives. Skills: Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Ability to apply architectural principles to business and IT solutions. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA. Proficiency in the use of architecture modeling tools and data analysis software. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in TOGAF, Zachman, or other relevant architecture frameworks. Experience in the healthcare industry or other regulated environments.
