Proficiency with Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 and their R2 Class Operating systems Knowledge on Server Roles DNS, DHCP, File Server, IIS, FTP , DFS, SMB shares and Permissions and Failover Clustering. Install firmware and operating systems patches and upgrades manually / using Microsoft tools or Third Party tools like Manage Engine. Understanding in RAID concepts and configuration. Anticipate, identify, troubleshoot, mitigate, and resolve hardware issues. Troubleshoot and resolve server issues related to performance and other Health checks. Troubleshooting / Root cause identification, Disaster recovery & BCP planning and execution. The ability to understand customer requirements and present solutions that will meet business objectives. Good communication skill is mandatory, as the resource might have to interact with international teams.
