Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Florida. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructures, particularly within government-secured environments. Proficiency in cloud architectures, especially Microsoft Azure and AWS, as well as knowledge of hyper-converged infrastructures, is essential. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructures, including VLANs, VPNs, and SD-WANs. Configure and maintain enterprise-grade firewalls, such as Fortinet and SonicWall, implementing advanced security features like Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), SSL VPNs, and web filtering. Develop and optimize cloud network solutions, focusing on Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, and AWS VPCs. Integrate and support hyper-converged infrastructures (HCI) like Nutanix or VMware vSAN within network environments. Conduct network audits to ensure compliance with government security standards, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and DFARS. Collaborate on secure designs for systems handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in federal environments. Lead network system migrations and upgrades, including cloud integrations and disaster recovery planning. Document network designs and changes to meet audit and compliance requirements. Qualifications: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a proven track record of designing and implementing secure, scalable networks. Experience working in government-secured environments; active security clearance is a plus. Proficiency in Azure networking (Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Azure Bastion); AWS experience is highly desirable. Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls such as Fortinet (e.g., FortiGate) or SonicWall. Familiarity with hyper-converged infrastructures like Nutanix, VMware vSAN, or Azure Stack Hub. Understanding of FISMA, NIST 800-171, or FedRAMP security standards. Expertise in tools like Wireshark and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS. Certifications such as CCNA, Azure Network Engineer, or equivalent are highly preferred.
