This position is a hybrid position working Tuesday and Thursday based out of American Fork, UT office and the remaining days remotely . This role will only consider W2 candidates and not C2C candidates. Job Summary Our Team is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented Software Engineers working on our Dentrix Core Practice Management Systems. As a SWE Manager you will mentor team members in code reviews and regular 1:1's. You will efficiently break down work, build an amazing team and deliver great products to our dental customers. This role will typically have around 10 direct reports including Software Engineers and Software Engineers in Test (remote and nearshore). SWE Managers also work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and other technical and business stakeholders. What You Will Do Hire, retain and build top talent Lead your team of engineers and build a culture of excellence Actively participate in and manage all phases of development from ideation, implementation, to post-deployment issue resolution for your team Develop strong partnerships with other engineering leaders, DevOps, product, architecture, and other key areas of the business Own the problem and scope solutions that line up with business objectives Support and champion the continued evolution of our Agile culture and Scrum best practices Qualifications Must Haves Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent professional experience Prior experience as a Software Engineering Manager with a team of direct reports 7 years of hands-on software engineering experience using C# and .NET and a solid understanding of client server architecture Ability to influence and build relationships Ability to effectively manage conflict Excellent written and verbal communication Excellent decision-making skills Technologies We Use C#, .NET and C++ SQL (MS SQL Server) WinForms and WPF GitLab with CI/CD Pipelines Client Server Architecture The posted range for this position is $115,000 - $173,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a 12.5% bonus not reflected in the posted range.
