Corporate Staff Accountant

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to responsible for the general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and administrative activities for assigned entities. Perform accounting duties related to daily activities of various SWBC divisions, including, but not limited to, preparation and posting of accounting entries, processing carrier statements, commissions, reconciliation of general ledger balances, and month end general ledger closing processes. Essential duties include the following: Prepares reoccurring and month end close journal entries; ensuring proper documentation is included as support. Reviews externally prepared monthly property management financial reports and uploads them into company's system. Monitors and reconciles assigned general ledger accounts (including cash) to include researching and resolving outstanding entries. Supports accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities for all the real estate companies. Ensures reconciliations and journal entries are completed within the closing schedule timeline by coordinating with other accounting staff members. Assists in the generation of monthly financial statements and variance analysis for internal reporting. Prepares and maintains process narratives and operating procedures. Assists with gathering and providing requested documentation for the external auditors. Performs a variety of accounting projects or other duties, as requested by management. Performs all other duties as assigned. Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university. At least one (1) year of experience in accounting or related experience. Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent data entry, analytical, and organizational skills. Excellent listening and multi-tasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, communication (both written and oral), and telephone etiquette skills. Working knowledge of ERP systems. Working knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Able lift 10-20lbs of boxes containing accounting documentation. Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
