Job Title: Intermediate Application Analyst Requisition Number: 37753 Employment Type: Full Time Division: IT BUSINESS APPLICATIONS, BI & PMO Compensation Type: Salaried Job Category: Information Technology Hours Worked: 8:00AM - 5:00PM Location: JPOC 1400 Shift Worked: Day Job Description: Job Summary: The Intermediate Applications Analyst is responsible for maintaining in-depth knowledge of their assigned application's functionality and for combining that knowledge with information technology experience to build and maintain a system which enhances workflows. Responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, implementation, and ongoing support of assigned application(s) while mentoring other analysts. Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities: Analyzes and completes service requests and provides application support for assigned applications and systems by performing workflow assessments, capturing business needs, and analyzing internal systems to determine functional requirements while mentoring other analysts. Writes/conducts business requirements and designs functional, technical, and workflow specific solutions or programs under direction of a more experienced analyst Conducts business requirements reviews and independently formulates logical statements of business requirements. Configures moderately complex components based on functional requirements. Applies functional knowledge to the design and customization of workflow systems that provide seamless integration for client/server applications. Writes functional requirements, develops test plans, and works with production issues. Follows project and software development methodologies and processes and may assist in aligning the process with project needs. Provides support to operations/product and development activities (this includes both direct customer and off-hours support). Provides on-going support including resolution of application system incidents, root cause analysis of problems, impact analysis, and planning of proposed system upgrades and patches to meet changing customer business/clinical requirements. Formulates and defines business scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business and industry requirements. Performs functional analysis, requirements, definition and application module configuration and testing. Conducts prototypes, develops functional specifications, data mapping, function mapping, setting of configuration tables and setting of transaction / control tables and work queues. Identifies and resolves gaps in the business processes. Involved in security/authorization set-up, user documentation, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation. Assists in the installation and tuning of modifications, as well as archiving data. This position requires build skills to develop necessary "workarounds" and new workflows. Works as a team player. Fosters team by demonstrating trust, confidence, and commitment in others' actions and decisions to create a supportive work environment. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in information technology, clinical field of study, or related field from an accredited college or university. 3 plus years implementing or supporting healthcare clinical or business application. OR Equivalent combination of education and experience in related field. If required, must obtain current certification in assigned application(s). (i.e.) Epic certification in appropriate module(s) required within specified time frame following class completion and analyst who support Epic modules must maintain certification on current version of Epic.
