PURPOSE OF THE JOB This position is responsible for resolving all Exception Items Processing (NSF, Non-Post, Stop Payments, etc), including monitoring reports for exceptions with DDA, Savings, Certificate of Deposit, Individual Retirement Accounts and Safe Deposit Boxes. Processing all statements and notices for the bank. Monitor, Charge Off and Collections of deficit balance accounts. Perform all other various duties within the Deposit Services Department. MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB Resolves and balances daily NSF, Non-Post, Stop Pay, Positive Pay and Credit Back items. Processes Incoming Cash Letter. Processes Returned Deposit items, monitors for kiting and reporting to the Compliance Officer. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for processing Lock Box deposits. Evaluate checking accounts for overdraft privilege, monitors DDA and Savings deficit balance accounts, process charge off accounts and contact customers/negotiate deficit balance repayment. Quality control all new Stop Payments, Regulation CC holds. Process client adjustments and Federal Reserve adjustments. Quality control and resolve exceptions of DDA, Savings, Certificate of Deposit, Individual Retirement Accounts, Safe Deposit Box and Loans. Process Oil and Gas drafts. Monitor and process all fraud dispute claims. Monitor and process all levy and garnishment request notices through the Legal Tracking system. Reconcile and process daily dividend checks. Perform research (court ordered) through Legal Tracking Service. Processes all domestic and foreign collection items, including ordering of foreign currency. Customer support (internal and external) Work rotating shifts and perform Items Processing (branch capture/SCO processing) and other processes performed in Deposit Services. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years related experience required or applicable experience in Deposit Services Department of a financial institution. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to use standard office equipment, in addition to above average math skills. Demonstrated excellent analytical and problems solving skills including ability to diagnose, resolve or escalate a critical situation. Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask. Self-directed/motivated with ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Dependable, willing to perform additional tasks as needed within the department and stay with a problem until resolution. Strong commitment to excellent internal and external customer service.
