Position Summary: We are seeking an Agronomic Research Lead to oversee all field and greenhouse trial research at our North Central Research Station. This role focuses on developing research strategies and managing a team of agronomists. Responsibilities include meeting with key stakeholdersboth internal (part of AgroLiquid Product Testing) and external (contract research)to identify trial needs and establish necessary protocols. As we continue to engage in new product development, you will serve as a liaison and spokesperson for the NCRS team, providing updates and results on research trials and fostering synergies between Sales and Research. Success in this position will involve elevating the current team and demonstrating leadership in the strategic planning and oversight of trial work. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop plot protocols for new product development. Work with external stakeholders to create plot protocols for contract research. Manage the current research team, providing training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they are up-to-date on the latest research trends. Analyze and conduct statistical analyses on research trial results, presenting findings to key stakeholders. Serve as the research liaison for the AgroLiquid Innovation Management team, supporting new product development by providing trial status updates, presenting data, and facilitating communication between cross-functional teams to ensure field feedback is captured for product trials. Position Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a research lead position managing row crop trials. A master's degree in a related field (Agronomy, Soil Science, etc.) is preferred or equivalent experience that includes trial management. Experience with field plot research. Proficient in navigating company software, including tools for research and communication. Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise end-user reports. Outstanding leadership capabilities and strong independent decision-making skills. Willingness and ability to speak effectively in public settings. Physical ability to stand, sit, lift, squat, stoop, and move up to 50 pounds. Strong critical thinking skills to drive strategy and enhance research efforts.
