We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time SharePoint / Power Apps Developer & Administrator supporting the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear Matters in Arlington, VA. The potential candidate will provide expertise to use commercial and government solutions to optimize information sharing within Nuclear Matters, as well as the overarching Department of Defense (DoD) research and development community. The SharePoint / Power Apps Developer & Administrator supports the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear Matters in Arlington, VA. by providing expertise to client using commercial and government solutions to optimize information sharing within Nuclear Matters, as well as the overarching Department of Defense (DoD) research and development community. The SharePoint / Power Apps Developer & Administrator will need to respond to new requirements, modernize existing capability, and assist with the development of a long-term strategy to share information with internal and external stakeholders. Hybrid role within the NCR . SharePoint PowerApps Anticipated annual salary range: $90,000 to $115,000. Offer will vary depending on experience, skill set, and location within NCR. Must be a US Citizen for DoD Clearance. SharePoint / Power Apps Developer & Administrator Responsibilities: Establish a modern long-term SharePoint implementation strategy in alignment with the Nuclear Matters office to best use and leverage existing information in the environment and ways to improve information collection Provide on-going production support, author documentation of support activities, develop, and deploy upgrades for client SharePoint environments Interact with team members and customers to gather requirements, design solutions, and iterate through the development and deployment lifecycle Oversee data opportunities that can be used to enhance program and risk management analytics Develop and deploy additional features that provide crucial program and project level reports to aide managers in monitoring the health of the program and its projects, as well as provide views into trends and potential issues Gather feedback and requests for additional functionality from end-users at both the project and manager levels and use that feedback to implement new features Develop custom Power Applications, SharePoint workflows, and leverage SharePoint web parts depending on the need Process documents, data, and reports as needed to support customer requirement Experience & Skills Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another technical field 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and administering Microsoft SharePoint Experience in Power Apps development Experience in JavaScript, CSS, & HTML languages and various JS libraries Experience reading documentation, understanding SharePoint architecture, and refactoring codebases Strong interpersonal skills to interact with the customer and current project team members Preferred: Experience in requirement gathering and software development lifecycle from inception to post-deployment support Participated and/or has a clear understanding of SharePoint migration projects and phases of migration from planning to post-migration clean-up 3 years of experience of building applications on Power Apps, specifically Canvas Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI Clear understanding of modern SharePoint architecture and can rebuild and redesign classic SharePoint sites on SharePoint Online Has a well-rounded knowledge of different Office 365 products and platforms and their best use cases, Office 365 component roll-out, providing internal user guides, and user documentations Experience in rebuilding intrant on SharePoint Online Experience creating and providing briefings to leadership for decisions that will impact the SharePoint environment Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other technical field ( Degree substitutable with 10 years of software development experience ) COMPANY INFORMATION: Applied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
