Performance Test Engineer

For one of our ongoing 3 year project we are looking for a Test Engineer out of New York, NY. Responsibilities: • Should be able to clearly determine unclear, incomplete, ambiguous and contradictory nonfunctional requirements and is able to resolve them. S/he should be able to review any NFR analysis document and be able to value add w.r.t identifying gaps, risks, completeness, etc. • Should be able to create a detailed solution architecture from performance perspective, perform data modelling and integration architecture; should be able to train team members on performance architecture process and tools/techniques • Should be able to lead the assessment of performance architecture and design of large and complex applications / technology; should have extensive experience of creating conceptual designs for complex and large performance solutions • Should be able to analyze test results to determine overall performance of software under test; s/he should also be contribute to process improvements at Organization level in Test Execution activity • Should be able to manage a team of individuals, assign tasks, provide guidance, take decisions and engage with senior management in delivery • Should be able to validate the estimates of the technical / application performance activities; should be able to track and assess the performance of the project against the project plan and identify newer risks during the course of the execution phase; thereby taking necessary corrective and preventive action • Lead and support performance engineering activities for multiple application stacks resulting in successful implementation of scalable and robust programs • Responsible for providing SME expertise in the area of performance engineering and product tuning and capacity planning • Expertise in PC / LoadRunner tool and respective protocols, workload modelling and performance test planning • Expertise in strategizing performance testing needs for application. Ability to troubleshoot performance issues for production and AUT’s • A history of developing and implementing innovative and effective performance engineering methodologies and services for strategic systems with adherence to SLC standards Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Experience in leading and managing teams to provide state of the art performance engineering/testing services for large scale strategic implementations • Expert in a wide range of performance engineering methodologies and tools (HP LoadRunner / Performance Center, Splunk, Performance Suite, Dynatrace, Team Quest, GC Log Analyzer) • In-depth knowledge of diverse set of technologies/platforms - Oracle, SAP, SharePoint, .NET, J2EE, Remedy, PeopleSoft, TIBCO, XML, SOAP, Cognos, Package Applications, SAAS Applications • Should be able to coach and mentor; s/he should plans the structure of the entire coaching exercise while preparing well for the coaching sessions • Should be able to understand the clients’ business and identify the unexpressed needs as well; s/he should be proactive while passionately working towards providing solutions • Lead and support performance engineering activities for multiple application stacks resulting in successful implementation of scalable and robust programs • Responsible for providing SME expertise in the area of performance engineering and product tuning and capacity planning • Expertise in LoadRunner tool and respective protocols, workload modelling and performance test planning • Expertise in strategizing performance testing needs for application.
