Primary Skills: Requirment Gathering (Expert), System Integrations (Intermediate), Data Mapping (Advanced), User Stories (Advanced), Documentation (Expert) Contract Type: W2 Only Duration: 3 Months Location: Portland, OR Pay Range: $55 - $58 Per hour JOB SUMMARY: This Business Systems Analyst role focuses on leading requirements gathering sessions for exciting wildfire project initiatives, translating business needs into technical requirements for 2025 and beyond. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with both technical and business employees, creating essential data mapping documents for multiple system integrations. The role demands a high level of interaction with team members, preparing for and documenting requirements effectively while tackling aggressive project timelines. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business SMEs. Document requirements and translate them into user stories. Develop data mapping documents in collaboration with technical SMEs. Analyze business processes and identify enhancements for existing systems. Act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure accurate requirement translation. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Proven ability in facilitating requirement gathering sessions. Experience in preparing data mapping documents. Skilled in writing and managing user stories. Industry Experience: Utility industry experience is a nice-to-have but not mandatory. This role is perfect for a detailed-oriented, organized, self-starter with a bachelor's degree in Business (or equivalent experience), and a business analyst certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in business systems analysis, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of business requirement techniques, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to solve complex problems independently.
