We are seeing highly qualified candidates for work on a future contract with DHS. The candidate MUST BE A US CITIZEN. The Candidate must have experience in: Ability to conduct comprehensive research and analysis of technical and general ledger accounting and preparations of federal financial statements and notes. Ability to read, interpret and develop financial management procedural documents. Understanding of federal property accounting (i.e., capitalization, depreciation, etc.). Understanding of budgetary accounting. Ability to research, analyze and reconcile intragovernmental payments and collections (IPACs) and intragovernmental/intradepartmental transactions (i.e., trading partner, advances). Ability to research, interpret and apply legislative and governing authorities to develop federal financial management policy, regulations, and directives. Ability to develop point papers, briefing materials, graphical presentations, and to make formal oral presentations of these materials to all levels of government personnel Ability to educate and inform management in the various alternatives for delivery of financial/operational services. Ability to research and implement best practices to remediate and advise on audit findings and internal control deficiencies. Ability to reference and apply standards such as FMFIA, FFMIA, FISMA, GAO audit and internal control-related guidance. Ability to develop point papers, briefing materials, and graphical presentations, and to make formal oral presentations of these materials to all levels of government personnel. Experience using and developing applications using SharePoint Solid experience, including but not limited to strategy, business development, project management or a similar field. Strong qualitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills Proven ability to lead and motivate others. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree and / or 4-8 years or more of experience in Accounting. Candidate shall be recognized as an expert in their specific field(s). Candidate shall have at least six (6) years of related management consulting/accounting experience Examples include conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive operating programs that required applying knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques along with knowledge of the mission, organization, and work processes of the programs and the relationships of administrative support activities; performing a wide variety of analytical studies and projects related to management improvement, productivity improvement, management controls, and long-range planning including developing guidance on techniques for management and methods improvement, analyzing and advising on proposed reorganizations or realignment of functions, and developing manuals and directives covering varying aspects of operations.
