ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintain the integrity of the chart of accounts and related records in all areas of the financial statements, ensuring compliance with FAR and DFAR regulations. Direct oversight and responsibility of the timeliness and accuracy of transactions associated with the day-to-day accounting functions (G/L, A/P, A/R). Management of Accounting Staff. Perform monthly reconciliations of various G/L accounts to ensure timely and accurate period close; Review team member reconciliations and support associated journal entries. Lead month-end and year-end closing process. Demonstrate the ability to research and support the resolution of variances and discrepancies identified during transaction processing and reconciliations. Maintenance of the general ledger subledgers to ensure accurate financial reporting. Assists in preparation of monthly financial statements for internal and external stakeholder presentations. Prepare property tax returns, sales & use tax returns, and various other corporate filings. Provide support for external and internal audits (i.e., financial statement reviews, bank exams, DCAA) as related to assigned tasking responsibility areas. Full treasury management responsibility including maintain banking relationship, cash management, and bank reconciliations. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Assist the Controller in evaluating, updating, and developing necessary procedures, policies and priorities related to accounting and financial management. Assist the Controller in software integration. Work with confidential data in a professional manner to maintain the integrity of the data and processes. Collaborate with the Controller and other groups within Trident to ensure efficient business operations, including support to Contracts, HR, IT, and the business units. Other general accounting duties and ad hoc tasking as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience. Years of Experience: 10 Plus years. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience in accounting for a government contractor. Experience managing a team of 3-5 people. Experience with applying principals to transactions in compliance with FAR, JTR, DCAA, and GAAP. Demonstrated understanding of T&M, CPFF, FFP contracts. Excellent oral and written communications skills are a must. Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and drive projects to completion. Attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications. Microsoft Navision/Business Central experience a plus. Experience with Concur is a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Communication: Frequent communication with other employees. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Repetitive Motion: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery. Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery. Physical Strength: Sedentary work; must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
