Nemours Children's Health is seeking an Accountant (Corporate Accounting/Financial Reporting) to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This position, under the direction of the Accounting Manager, is responsible for reconciling assigned balance sheet accounts monthly and maintains contractual billing and accounts receivable for contract services revenue for all lines of business. Additionally, this position must work closely with analysts and administrative staff across operations in fielding questions and gathering data for contract billings. Understand accounting impact of service partnership contracts and ask related questions as needed to be able to set up contract details in the system to enable timely billing and accounting of revenue and receivables. Also, update contract matrix (listing on all contracts with billing details). Gather invoice support (various reports/timesheets/vouchers) from stakeholders throughout the organization to inform data inputs and attach related support to generated invoices before emailing. Twice monthly invoice runs for fixed and variable amount contracts. Ad hoc invoice generation as needed. Follow-up on aging accounts receivable (within established timelines) to ensure payments are received in a timely manner. Reserve/reverse revenue aged at 90 days from invoice date and communicate to Operational Finance and contract owners. Monitor unapplied payments to ensure they are applied to the correct invoices and communicate with Customers as needed to correctly identify payment details for payments received with invoice reference. Prepare assigned and ad hoc journal entries with appropriate supporting detail. Perform and prepare assigned post-closing duties, including timely preparation and maintenance of general ledger account reconciliations including but not limited to related accounts receivable accounts. Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience required. Excellent organizational, written and verbal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
