The staring salary for this position is $60-$65k, depending on experience. The working schedule for this full-time, in-person opportunity is Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm The Salvation Army Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Summary/Primary Purpose: This position supports Divisional fundraising success by writing and editing private foundation grant applications and reports, maintaining a library of research, templates and writing samples to support private and government program funding solicitations, and educating about and enabling implementation among division leaders of best practice grant management. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in grant writing and management, proven success leading teams of people with varying levels of experience, and a passion for making a difference. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work with Divisional officers and staff to assess funding needs and available private grant opportunities, and to help craft proposals that expand organization's capacity to achieve its mission. Write, review and edit, and advise leaders at service locations in three states regarding grant applications and reports, incorporating current research and understanding of social service objectives. Develop and maintain a library of research that informs applications and reports, current statistics about standard social service issues, sample applications and writing samples, and guide others in the use of these materials for grant applications and reports, and verbal grant defenses. Conduct periodic training for program and administrative staff at service locations about grantmaking processes. Working with team members, develop deep awareness of funders, funding trends, and better ways to connect our organization and its mission to their service objectives, and work collaboratively to store, organize and share information that assures team success. Clerical duties related to the functions of the position such as typing, filing and copying. All other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities : None
