**Must-Have:** - BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS & TNCC/TCAR or experience with the care of trauma patients - Experience in reading and interpreting telemetry - Ability to titrate ICU-typical drips - Meets fit testing requirements
**Job Description:**
- Unit has 4 beds - Nurse to patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:3 depending on acuity - Common patient diagnoses: DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac issues (rate and rhythm control), medical detox, art lines, CVP - The emergency room is in charge of the ICU - No nurse aids or patient care technicians on this unit - Responsibilities include managing RT Equipment from nasal cannula to vent - RNs are required to read and interpret telemetry strips - Schedule: 7-7 with the director making the schedule; no self-scheduling or block scheduling - Work is required on weekends and holidays based on need - Floating to Medical-Surgical or Emergency Room (for 1:1) may be required - Scrub color for this role is navy - 3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation provided - Successful candidates should demonstrate coachability, motivation, ability to understand and manage unsafe situations, and strong teamwork skills
