A law firm seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Intake Attorney specializing in criminal defense to join its Los Angeles team. This position offers a unique opportunity to support potential clients by identifying viable legal strategies and guiding them through the intake process. Duties
Monitor the firm's case management platform to review live cases and vet potential clients. Assess intake forms and accompanying documentation to identify criminal defense cases. Recommend legal strategies and appropriate services for prospective clients. Answer legal inquiries and explain processes to potential and current clients. Speak with existing clients about additional legal services beyond their current scope. Collaborate with the sales team by providing feedback on consultations with potential clients. Oversee intake paralegals and virtual assistants to ensure efficient case management. Requirements
Minimum of 1–5 years of experience in criminal defense law. Strong record of advancing legal cases and managing a caseload effectively. Excellent collaboration skills, with a willingness to strategize and assist colleagues. Proficiency in case management software (preferred). Experience in intake processes, criminal defense, or post-conviction relief. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications
Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing. Skills
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to provide thoughtful legal counsel to potential and existing clients. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
