Summary:
You will serve as the Deputy Director, Surface Warfare Division in the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Warfare Systems branch of Immediate Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV). Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to the Director for the resourcing of Surface Warfare requirements. You will support the Director in planning and aligning the surface warfare investment strategy across the Future Years Defense Plan (FYDP) and develop contingencies for the uncertainties of the budget process. You will manage all aspects of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process for the Director regarding Surface Warfare programmatic requirements, sustainment, research, development, and acquisition. You will also be responsible for the organizational health of the Division, including business operations, Human Capital integration and resourcing, and alignment with OPNAV directed Naval manpower and civilian personnel initiatives. Extensive demonstrated experience with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process and Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS). Knowledge of corporate processes and associated programs necessary to manage a Surface Warfare mission-oriented organization. Ability to analyze and organize complex factual material and controversial issues for oral and written presentation. Knowledge of principles and practices of resource allocation management, sound business administration, and program planning. Education Additional Information:
This position is in the Senior Executive Service (SES), a small elite group of top government leaders. SES members possess a diverse portfolio of experiences including strong skills to lead across organizations.
