We’re seeking a curious, self-motivated, and technically skilled
Instructional Designer – Software Applications
to join our Platform Training and Certification team. In this role, you'll apply your passion for technology and learning to create impactful training that equips employees, customers, and implementation partners with the skills they need to effectively use Anaplan, a powerful platform for connected planning. You'll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to craft engaging learning experiences that drive user adoption. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Platform Training. Your Impact Become an expert in Anaplan modeling techniques and standard methodologies by completing Level 1 and 2 training within 3 months, and maintaining all certifications as requirements change. Stay current with all new Anaplan standard methodologies and software improvements to ensure learning content is kept up to date. Analyze software features and functionality to identify key learning points and develop training content designed to reinforce technical skills. Learn unreleased product content quickly and be prepared to deliver quality training on release. Conduct research and collaborate with subject matter experts from Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Alliances, and Enablement to define and document learning objectives. Transform raw source content from SMEs into instructional material, including eLearning courses and classroom training curriculums, designed to optimize learning. Continually improve training delivery based on feedback from course participants and mentor team members on feedback received. Assist the Academy help desk in answering training content-related cases. Ability to be flexible with modality and time requirements to meet customer needs for training. Special assignments and other duties not specifically stated may also be assigned. Work within LMS and instructional design platforms to ensure a quality learning experience. Job Qualifications 5+ years' experience in instructional design. Proven experience designing and developing training materials for Anaplan or similarly complex software. Experience with learning tools, such as Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, video editing, and graphic design. Strong oral and written communication skills and high attention to detail. Passion for learning, teaching, and constant improvement. Familiarity with adult learning principles, learning theories, and instructional methodologies. Ability to communicate concepts in a concise, logical manner so students can absorb and retain them. Flexibility to prioritize multiple activities simultaneously.
