Overview:
Our client is now hiring an on-site construction safety manager for various electrical construction projects consisting of electric substation breaker upgrades, relay upgrades, and generating station upgrades; various civil construction projects consisting of concrete structure rehabilitations, demolitions, and earthworks; and mechanical projects consisting of equipment upgrades and overhead crane upgrades.
Requirements:
BS Degree in a basic science or technical degree in the field of EHS management, or additional relevant experience in EH&S is required. Minimum 8-10+ years of related construction safety experience is required. Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software (systems used are Microsoft Office, intra/internet, etc.) including helping to implement the EHS Electronic Software Platform at the site. Duties:
Responsible for enforcing safety programs during construction. Responsible for development of activity hazard assessments, Responsible for contractor oversight. Responsible for review and management of safety submittals, safety documentation, safety audits, corrective actions, field change requests and daily on-site safety meetings. Additional responsibilities as assigned
