JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Non-CDL Bus Driver to support our after-school program. This role involves safely transporting program participants using a minibus on designated routes, ensuring adherence to scheduled times and safety regulations. In addition to transportation responsibilities, the Non-CDL Bus Driver will assist in maintaining the vehicle, conducting routine inspections, and contributing to program activities during non-driving hours.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Operate a 15-passenger minibus to transport children, staff, and other passengers to and from designated locations following established schedules and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the minibus is in safe operating condition and report any maintenance needs promptly.
Inspects vehicles for gas, oil, and water and corrects safety hazards. Complete Driver/Vehicle Checklist
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for passengers. Support after-school program activities by assisting staff and engaging with participants when not driving or maintaining the vehicle. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and organizational policies while fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere for passengers. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clear communication with parents, guardians, and staff as needed. Review the organization's transportation policy and procedure. Obtains and reviews routes. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Education/Qualifications
High School diploma or GED Must be age 25+ Must have a valid driver's license.
Safe driving record as documented by a clean seven-year MVR.
Experience & Skills
Proven experience driving passenger vehicles, preferably with youth or community programs. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety practices. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to creating a safe, positive environment for program participants. Ability to work collaboratively with program staff and engage positively with children and families. Must have a valid medical certificate (pass D.O.T. physical every two years) Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and pass testing done at random, post-accident, and for reasonable suspicion after employment.
ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Daily contact with club staff, club members, outside organizations and individuals to plan, coordinate, and deliver programs. The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion. Travel to special events and field trips required. Must be able to work daily afternoon/evening hours. Occasional weekend work is required to accomplish objectives.
