Gannett Fleming's Roseville Office is looking for a Senior CADD Technician/Designer to support Senior Designers and Engineers in the design and production of construction drawings for various civil/electrical designs for our Power/Hydropower clients. This position is based out of the Roseville, CA office.
As a Senior CADD Technician, you will work closely with our engineers and designers, utilizing computer-aided design programs (CAD), including 3D modeling to support our projects. This position provides excellent growth and collaboration opportunity with other Gannett Fleming offices.
Responsibilities:
Prepare engineering design drawings using CAD and 3D modeling programs including AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, MicroStation, and Revit. Ensure drawing compliance with company and client CAD standards, styles, and protocols. Work on project teams to support design and drawing production. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Maintain project libraries and CAD standards. Maintain project plans using Sharepoint, ProjectWise, or AutoDesk Cloud Construction. Develop project and presentation graphics. Interpret and develop site plans, profiles, sections, details, structural layouts, schematics, and equipment layout drawings. Must have a good grasp of civil and structural engineering concepts, i.e. grading, topographic surfaces, surveys, structures, structural reinforcement, mechanical layout, etc. Attention to back checking when preparing design drawings. Complete work accurately and quickly within hours requested.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of technical school or an associate degree in drafting technology. 10-15 years’ experience. Civil Engineering and/or Construction Drafting experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, experience in MicroStation and Revit a plus. Familiarity with ProjectWise and/or AutoDesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) a plus. Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu a plus. Well versed in Microsoft Office 365 and Teams. Interest in learning and advancing a career as a Design Technician. Interest in learning new software and applications. Ability to communicate with staff from other offices. Self-starter who can work with minimal guidance.
