St. Catherine of Siena Hospital is a proud member of Catholic Health and has served the residents of the Smithtown area for more than 50 years. St. Catherine's is located on the north short of Long Island in Smithtown. The campus is comprised of 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. Job Details
Clerical Assistant Responsibilities: Performs a variety of clerical functions on the Nursing Unit including, but not limited to, meeting, greeting, and orienting patients to floor. Answers questions from patients and/or family members or redirects to appropriate care team member for response. Transcribes orders; prepares patient chart on admission; ensures that chart is maintained appropriately; dismantles chart upon discharge; prepares diet and census sheets; rewrites medex once a week; prepares venipuncture list; assists in coordinating and compiling statistics as needed. Assists the care team with the discharge process. Answers telephones in a professional manner; distributes mail. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year experience in a doctor's office or healthcare facility preferred.

USD $26.28 - USD $26.28 /Hr.
