As we expand our operations, we are seeking a motivated Entry to Mid-Level Hydrogeologist to join us in delivering innovative solutions to our clients.
Position Overview:
As a Hydrogeologist, you will work closely with our experienced team to conduct field investigations, collect hydrogeological data, and assist in the analysis and interpretation of groundwater resources. This salaried full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in groundwater resource management in the United States and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct fieldwork, including well installations, groundwater sampling, and aquifer testing, following established protocols and safety procedures.
Assist in the analysis and interpretation of hydrogeological data using industry-standard software and techniques under the direction of Professional Geologists (PGs).
Collaborate with senior hydrogeologists to develop site conceptual models utilizing cross-sectional analysis, iso-plots of groundwater chemistry and lithologies, correlation with geophysical data, and more.
Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
Support project managers in coordinating field activities, communicating with clients, and ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget.
Organized and concise field project note-taking.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Hydrology, Geology, Hydrogeology, Civil, Chemical and/or Environmental Engineering or related field.
Familiarity with field data collection techniques, such as well installation, groundwater sampling, and aquifer testing.
Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Possess a valid driver's license, be capable of operating work vehicles safely, and have an acceptable driving record.
Must be able to travel for up to two weeks at a time.
Must be able to perform fieldwork in physically demanding work environments.
Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 pounds or more).
Additional Preferences:
Experience in programs such as Solid Works, ArcGIS, and MODFLOW is desirable.
Proficiency in computer programming such as R, Python, SQL.
HAZWOPER 40-hour training is a plus.
Experience in utility or mechanical maintenance is a plus.
