The Production Manager/Sr Graphic Designer plays an important role within the Division of Integrated Communications, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and partners to create and deliver layout designs and graphics for the ACS's 80-page monthly newsmagazine (Bulletin). In addition, this position interfaces with the printer of the ACS Bulletin regarding design files and mailing lists, as well as helps coordinate photography and manage the photo gallery for the ACS Clinical Congress. This exempt position will report to the Bulletin Editor-in-Chief/Senior Manager in the Division of Integrated Communications.

It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote. **For consideration, please include design samples or a link to your design portfolio as part of the online application** Major Responsibilities: Design and layout monthly 80-page newsmagazine, Bulletin. Examine Bulletin page proofs and final proofs for editorial and design accuracy and consistency (ensuring all pages meet quality standards, including content, layout, color accuracy, and ad placements); serve as liaison with printer; provide monthly mailing list to printer. Maintain digital archive for the Bulletin, ensuring that assets for each issue are archived and accessible for future reference. Coordinate work with outside photographers for Clinical Congress, Jacobson Dinner, and other College events; serve as liaison between photographers and ACS Accounting department. Maintain photography library and organize images into a searchable, structured system; source additional images from stock agencies as needed for each issue. Required Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field from an accredited college or university is required. At least 4+ years of similar or related design experience is required. Proficiency in, and strong working knowledge of, industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign). Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and composition is required. Familiarity with print and digital production processes; knowledge of prepress procedures, file formats, and the ability to optimize graphics for different platforms is required. Solid written and verbal communication skills, including attention to detail (i.e., grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, and formatting). Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and keep up with the administrative requirements of the position, while maintaining tight deadlines effectively. Comprehensive Benefits:
