Overview of Position

The Human Resources Director will serve as a thought leader and change partner with senior management, leading strategic human resources goals, programs and processes, to drive growth and business results for HUB. This individual will champion HR services within client groups and will be a true partner to client groups on a broad range of organizational issues of critical importance to the business. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder and people motivator. This role will have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Super Region HR Lead.

Other key responsibilities include:

Overall HR Leader

for Hub Gulf South, consisting of 700-900 employees in several states.

Manage a team

of HR professionals (HRBPs, HR Generalists, HRIS).

Accountable to the HUB Gulf South President for

HR opera

tions, talent acquisition and retention strategies, talent development initiatives and optimization, rewards programs and employee engagement

in a regional capacity for HUB in ways that help drive the business forward.

Delivers effective

due diligence, onboarding and acquisition integration

efforts in partnership with Enterprise and regional acquisition teams.

Plays a key role in supporting leaders to raise the bar on

employee engagement

and creating a great place to work. Builds and drives an employee value proposition to build a culture of accountability, winning, and collaboration.

Develops strong

relationships with key stakeholders

within each client group. Anticipates business needs and provides realistic human resources solutions aligned with the regional business objectives.

Influence outcomes

through established relationships with employees, leaders, and coworkers

Champion

diversity and inclusion (D&I) efforts

, including leadership of the regional D&I Council

Delivers coordinated human resources services across multiple offices and

serves as a conduit

connecting Enterprise

initiatives and field implementation.

Oversees the talent management process through

identification and assessment of strengths and development opportunities

and partners with EMT and client group management in the

preparation of development plans

to ensure employees are prepared for future opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Coach and lead HR team

to support HUB Gulf South.

Talent acquisition and retention:

Respond to the war on talent by increasing the effectiveness of our talent acquisition and retention strategies.

Demonstrated effort to prioritize, develop and recommend diversity initiatives and programs to allow the corporation to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds promoting diversity and inclusion at all levels of the organization.

Build an employee value proposition

Leverage recruiting statistics/data dashboard

Enhance onboarding experience for new colleagues

Cultural assessment, integration and assimilation of acquisitions

You will have the support of a regional centralized recruiting function.

Talent Management:

Performance management – implement a performance and development culture. Create training opportunities where necessary to enhance learning and development

Leadership development – continue with “leadership series

Learning & Development – continued emphasis on learning and development initiatives and coaching for the organization

Succession management – develop a succession management plan for key leaders/positions in the organization. Continue with Talent Assessment across the organization with HRBPs

You will have the support of a Regional Talent Development Leader (RTDL)

Employee engagement

– support leaders to drive employee engagement in their departments and across the organization.

Communication strategy and plan

Management and analysis of annual survey results of implementation of action plans

Responsible for Region-wide communication strategy

Implementation of region wide initiatives to support employee engagement

Implementation of annual bonus payout process

HR System Enhancement

: Work with Enterprise and local teams to successfully implement and monitor time and attendance (Kronos) and Workday. Build supporting communication plans to meet local needs.

Maintain core HR operations:

Legal compliance and adherence

Employee relations issue management

Standards, policy and procedure adherence and implementation

Analytics

Integration and conduit:

Provide perspectives and input to Enterprise and region-wide policies and programs that are in development through participation in task forces, special projects and committees.

Qualifications and Experience

Leadership experience in an insurance brokerage firm is highly preferred

Bachelor's degree in HR management, business administration or equivalent experience. Advanced degree/MBA preferred and SPHR/SHRM-SCP is a plus

10-13+ years of experience in a senior HRBP capacity

Strong interpersonal and influence skills, including negotiation and expectations management

Skilled at building collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization to solve problems and implement solutions

Experience in pre-IPO due diligence (preferred)

Possesses a rational, confident and mature approach to decision making and inspires trust and confidence in business partner relationships

Well-developed critical thinking and analytical abilities with strong attention to detail

High sense of urgency with strong orientation towards customer support

Understands the dynamics of a matrix organization

Strong MS Office Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)

Good organizational savvy, resilient

Demonstrates ownership and accountability and, through personal connection, motivates people to deliver results

Ability to simultaneously and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities

Effectively manages national and provincial complexities

Ability to travel up to 25%
