Job Overview
The Sales and Commercial Manager for the Komatsu Surface Drilling Business Unit is responsible for the promotion, sales and commercial support of products offered to obtain maximum revenue, profitability, and market share. A key aspect of the responsibility is building long-term customer relationships through a detailed understanding of the customer’s business and driving the business model to align with the customer’s needs.
Key Job Responsibilities
Sales
Expand market share and increase revenue and profitability.
Build long-term customer relationships through a detailed understanding of customer needs.
Leverage relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes.
Identify and penetrate new markets, partners, channels, and customers, specifically focusing on selling Drills in the Latin American region.
Commercial
Responsible for quoting, significant contract approvals, and the order status and fulfillment process.
Assist management with the monthly sales forecast preparation and make equipment build/purchase recommendations as needed to meet annual equipment sales plan.
Maintain opportunities and status of open prospects among all quoted activity in Salesforce.
Analyze sales order documentation for conformity to negotiated terms and conditions. Resolve discrepancies as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 10+ years of sales and commercial experience in a related industry (Mining, Construction, Contracts, Distribution, etc.)
Strong customer service focus.
Bilingual. Fluent in English and Spanish.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively lead meetings.
Strong ability to collaborate with distributors and internal departments to achieve desired results.
Systems knowledge in Salesforce or SAP is a plus.
Knowledge of Komatsu products and the mining and construction industry.
Traveling approximately 30-40% of the time to client sites and on-site mining locations.
