Director of Distribution Engineering

b19 Consulting is working with an established power company who are looking to find a Director of Distribution Engineering that comes from an electric utility background. Job Requirements & Responsibilities 10 years distribution engineering & management experience within the electric utility sector Bachelors’ degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship. Strong communication skills to coordinate with project engineers, construction managers & representatives up to director level. Bid proposals & presentations, with prior utility business development track record PE License Prior experience managing distribution engineering teams Expertise with NESC & local utility standards Prior expertise in distribution design processes using software such as O-Calc, Pole Foreman, Maximo, GIS. Excellent communication skills and comfort being client facing with electrical utilities Develop team metrics & improvement of technical consistency within divisions Project Management experience executing & leading utility projects Expertise regarding forecasting, cost control & scheduling on utility construction projects. Great understanding & experience within utility asset management Outage and Distribution Management system knowledge Contractor management experience at electrical utilities Valid US driver’s license
