As a Senior Flight Software Engineer , youll have the rare opportunity to build the foundation of our flight software stack and directly influence our mission to redefine aviation. About the Role: In this role, you will design and develop the entire software architecture for controlling and flying cutting-edge supersonic aircraft. This is a greenfield opportunity to create something extraordinary, starting from scratch, including technology selection and system design. You will collaborate with a highly experienced team to deliver impactful, real-world solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. Key Responsibilities: Architect and implement the full flight software stack, including application, OS, networking, and firmware layers. Define requirements and overall scope for flight software systems. Design, develop, and debug software for real-time and embedded systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with mechanical and hardware systems. Optimize software performance and ensure reliability through rigorous testing and debugging. Required Qualifications: 4 years of experience with a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, math, or related science disciplines. (Alternatively, 6 years of professional software development experience.) Proficiency in C++, Rust, or other systems programming languages . Experience building or working with real-time systems or distributed computing systems . Hands-on expertise with embedded systems or Linux kernel development. Strong debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing skills. Basic knowledge in controls, fluid systems, motors , or other mechanical systems. Why Join Us?
