Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Within the Lilly manufacturing organization, the Parenteral Network is responsible for a rapidly growing global network of manufacturing sites that support the expanding portfolio of Lilly’s parenteral (injectable) products and devices. Position Description: The Associate Director – New Parenteral Site Operations role is a critical role to ensure we continue to make progress towards our mission and our culture. This role will play a critical role in leading various strategic initiatives and ensuring the network is operating effectively. Critical Skill sets required: Integrate functions and lead cross-functionally Demonstrate ability to identify strategic opportunities and turn strategy to execution Operate as Team Lilly Strong learning agility Drive execution and accountability Influence without authority Strong inclusive leader Manufacturing experience (ideally parenteral) Strategic Processes and Projects Proactively assess strategic and capability gaps / opportunities across new parenteral sites (NPS) and partner with NPS Lead Team members to drive improvement Ensure thorough and meaningful measurement and analytics on key questions to help drive the business and better serve our customers Support annual strategic planning and business plan processes, including ongoing prioritization of initiatives. Lead and manage special projects Anticipate and facilitate the resolution of issues that impact key project deliverables and facilitate understanding and resolution of issues Drive Operational Excellence Lead and facilitate key project meetings and ensure follow up on actions Manage meeting agendas, pre-reads and follow ups Ensure appropriate governance in place to ensure safety, quality, agility and execution to drive most important work Monitor the progress on milestones and take action to escalate/remove barriers. Support sites to facilitate consistent processes and efficient planning. Drive operational process improvements, best practice sharing and cost efficiencies Effective Communication Drive connectivity between sites, functions and networks to ensure alignment on strategic objectives Drive documentation and communication of key decisions, actions, and key modifications in time, budget, scope, and risk to key stakeholders Basic Qualifications: Bachelors’ degree Additional Skills/Preferences: Minimum 6 years of manufacturing experience Demonstrated ability to think strategically and solve problems Excellent communication and project management skills Ability to lead and influence others with or without authority Strong business acumen Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity Demonstrated ability to deliver on operational excellence Ability to work cross-functionally, cross-culturally, and with individuals at all levels of the organization. Deep understanding and experience in manufacturing, ideally in parenteral manufacturing Previous management experience leading a cross-functional team of people to deliver on objectives. Able to effectively facilitate team meetings and team leadership interactions. Drive effective and efficient team decision-making process.
