Who we are looking for: We are currently searching for a Credit Analyst based out of our headquarters in Harvey, IL. Reporting to the Credit Supervisor, the Credit Analyst will be primarily responsible for managing the timeliness of customer payments and opening new accounts for credit extension and respond to credit reference requests within Atkore's Accounts Receivable department. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management or equivalent education and experience; with at least 3-5 years credit and/or collection experience. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus. What you'll do: Partner with the business, interact with sales agents, agencies and all levels of management to facilitate the smooth flow of customer payments. Perform credit and collection monitoring on an assigned group of accounts. Evaluate and approve new account applications for credit extension. Set and monitor credit limits on assigned group of accounts. Respond to and complete credit reference requests. What you'll bring: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management strongly preferred. 3-5 years credit and/or collection, or related experience required. Effective written and oral communication skills required. Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Atkore management as well as directly with customers. Firm but fair approach with customers with the ability to compromise and negotiate effectively. Good general computer skills along with Microsoft Word and Excel experience needed. Within 3 months, you'll: Complete your immersion program Understand how your role fits within the organization Within 6 months, you'll: Contact past due accounts, make payment arrangements and follow up on promises made. Approve orders on a daily basis. Respond to and complete credit reference requests. Within 12 months, you'll: Evaluate risk potential and communicate issues through written reports and direct communication with sales and financial management.
