Security Benefit is searching for an experienced QA Analyst to join our team. This position will work in our home office in Topeka, Kansas. What Does the Job Look Like? As a QA Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our technology solutions and digital experiences for customers and users. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify issues, advocate for quality improvements, and drive continuous improvement across the development process. As a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for: Collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams including product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ideate and validate problem-solution fit. Developing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate solution functionality and performance. Executing manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing. Identifying and reporting defects, enabling accurate and timely resolution. Define and track key quality metrics to monitor effectiveness of built-in quality practices and collaborate on areas for improvement. Participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Supporting and participating in updating relevant assets with a preference to reduce dependencies and ensure flow is not blocked. Proactively contributing to and providing continuous feedback on process improvements, quality initiatives, and best practices within the Agile framework. Championing the concept of built-in quality within the Agile team, emphasizing the importance of preventing defects rather than just detecting them. Teaching, mentoring, and conducting training sessions and workshops to educate team members on built-in quality principles, techniques, and tools. Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software quality assurance and Agile methodologies. Who Are You? Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; 4 years of experience could be substituted in lieu of degree. 2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on Agile methodologies. Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and execution across different testing levels (unit, integration, system, acceptance). Financial services industry experience preferred. Experience with testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Javascript. Solid knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools, such as Jira, Trello, or TestRail. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile environment. A keen customer focus, keeping the end-user in mind throughout the development process. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is a plus. ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus. What Can Security Benefit Offer You?
