ALLBRiGHT PAINTING: Gratefully Celebrating Over 36 Years in Business!

 

When our founder Josh Abramsonfirst started this business, he was 21-years-old, living in a small two-bedroom apartment in Granada Hills with his mom (single parent) and younger sister (who shared a room with mom). During that time, his grandfather offered Josh some help and suggested that he use one of his A.Allbright company phone numbers on his business cards and homemade wooden signs, because he had an office staff that could answer the phone more professionally than his little sister or mom. Grandpa Charlie and his brother Davie started a drapery cleaning business back around the mid-century called A.Allbright Drapery Cleaning, in Van Nuys, CA. They put the “A.” in front of Allbright so that they would be listed first in the Yellow Pages and all other listings.

 

Josh took his grandfather up on his generous offer, but he never intended to call the new business A.Allbright Wallpaper Hanging & Painting. Still in his teens, he wanted to come up with a more relevant name to who he was, but he didn’t know what that name should be at the time.

 

When someone would call the number listed on the new business card asking for wallpaper installation, his grandfather or his staff would “page” him every time they got a call (remember pagers?) Even though Josh wasn’t a part of the drapery cleaning business in any way, he ended up carrying on the family business name because they would always answer the phones, “Hello, this is A.Allbright, how can we help you?”

Main Job Responsibilities are Two-Fold Assisting Customers – Client Advocate

· Schedule incoming estimates with the ability to help sell the appointment.

· Answer phones, distribute messages, and follow up on phone messages.

· Customer service with customers, vendors and employees.

 

Assisting Office Manager

· General office duties: data entry, filing, copying, etc.

· Be organized and assist in organizing office, supplies and office procedures

 

Assisting Salesmen

· Return phone calls and follow up with potential customers

· Selling additional work orders

 

Assisting Operations

· Assists in problem solving and implementing solutions with customer service.

· Capture, document and communicate to the team any customer issues.

 

Assisting President

· Research and gather information for president’s review of miscellaneous items

· Assist with marketing materials, printing and design

 

Team Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrate positive and collaborative attitude.

2. Attend all meetings on time.

3. Work the necessary hours per week in order to perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely manner.

Minimum and Desired Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skills, Traits and Experience Required for Success

 

Skills and Experience

Experience or knowledge of service, construction/trades industry and some experience with:

2. Basic Computer Proficiency - Outlook, Excel, Google Maps

3. Use of CRM – HubSpot

4. Residential Sales Experience selling services (one-call close) a strong plus

5. Organization and Time Management Expertise

6. Professional Appearance and Appropriate Communication

1. High School Diploma minimum, some college desired

2. Valid Driver's License with no major violations

3. Fluent in the English language

4. Authorized to work in the United States

5. Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
