Position Overview:As a Tax Accountant for our client in Madison, you will play a key role in supporting the companys financial operations. Youll assist with monthly and year-end financials, handle tax filings, perform account reconciliations, and support payroll as needed. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting experience with exposure to tax, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Expectation is 20-30 hours/week with ability to work from home 50% of the time.
What Youll Do:
Prepare and assist in compiling monthly and year-end financial statements
Process accounts payable/receivable and perform general ledger entries
Reconcile bank accounts and other financial accounts
Prepare tax returns and provide insight to tax related questions
Maintain accurate and organized financial records
What They Are Looking For:
Education: A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
Experience: 5+ years of experience in a public accounting firm in tax
Traits: Strong communicator and executive level presence
