Extrusion OperatorAbility to operate on any one of the four Extruders and repel line generally unassisted. Able to communicate quality issues, complete required documentation, i.e. profile and daily material reports. Report machine malfunctions and ensure good quality sheet. Performs work under shift supervisor with final approval by the extrusion manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.Ability to learn and operator all four (4) extruders within defined specification without assistanceRecognize heating/cooling problems on all machines and report any issues immediatelyStart up and shut down all extruders unassistedAssist in "stringing up" all extruders unassistedComplete job/color changes with minimal scrapPerform adjustments to dieMonitor feed and mixing systems for proper operationCorrect formulas and rates for each product typeMatch and distinguish colors from samplesProduce good tight rollsProduce each roll to correct width and gaugeAble to use a fire extinguisherClimb heights up to 60 feet to report silo readings and material held in each siloGet assistance to resolve any issues to get machine back in operationWell rounded knowledge of quality of all productsHousekeeping, must keep all areas free of debrisPRIMARY INTERACTIONSDaily interaction with all Thermoforming and Extrusion personnelCOMPETENCIESMust be dependable and demonstrate the ability to follow directionsMust be a team playerTo work well with other employees and give help when neededTo maintain a good attendance recordBe able to work overtime if requiredGood knowledge of all safety proceduresComplete any job task given within reason assigned by supervisor or managerWear all required PPEComputer literate (input of data)EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. Minimum of one (1) year manufacturing experience; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
