As our Business Development Manager (BDM) based in California, you’ll be running your own show, managing the entire sales cycle for high-value PEO and HCM services. In this role, you'll be an entrepreneur, a consultant, and a trusted advisor for companies seeking real HR solutions. You’ll manage everything from prospecting and networking to customizing and closing your own contracts for high-impact, relatively large-ticket HR solutions that make a lasting difference for clients. What You’ll Be Doing: Build and strengthen relationships with brokers and referral partners in California and nationwide, securing new client leads. Understand each client’s unique challenges and tailor HR solutions that address their specific needs. Conduct engaging demos with prospects, showcasing how AlphaStaff’s solutions can address their unique HR needs and challenges. Manage all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation, independently handling contracts and client follow-up. Represent AlphaStaff at industry events and conferences, expanding your network and establishing brand recognition. Partner with sales leadership and our marketing team to align on strategies and drive lead generation efforts. Achieve personal sales targets, contributing directly to the growth of the company. Qualifications: Proven success selling complex HR or PEO solutions, ideally within the California market. Strong track record of building and developing client relationships, particularly with C-level stakeholders. Ability to work independently, managing the full sales process with minimal oversight. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with a consultative approach to client interactions. Motivated self-starter who thrives on autonomy and demonstrates a proactive approach to business development. Comfortable networking and building relationships, with a preference for working out in the market rather than from a desk. This position is located in California, although it is a remote, work-from-home opportunity.
