As a Gastroenterologist at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, you will be expected to perform various gastrointestinal procedures in the day procedure unit and potentially other appropriate settings. Your responsibilities will also include taking rotational call on nights and weekends for inpatients, ensuring that our veterans receive continuous care.
In addition to clinical duties, you will be involved in administrative tasks, teaching, and committee assignments as delegated by the Chief of Gastroenterology. You will have the unique opportunity to mentor Internal Medicine residents and Gastroenterology Fellows in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Providing timely and constructive feedback on their performance will be a crucial part of your role while helping to advance the future of gastroenterology.

The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System values its physicians and provides a comprehensive total rewards package. Here s what you can expect:
* Pay: Range $350,000-$390,000 per year. Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
* Work Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Education Debt Reduction : Eligible for student loan repayment over five years, plus additional education loan repayment possibilities.
* Recruitment Incentive : Potential sign-on bonus authorized.
