Job Summary: This is an exciting role for an innovative, high-growth defense technology company. The ideal candidate for the position is someone with experience with each phase of systems engineering and people management. In this role, you will manage a team of talented engineers to architect, develop, integrate, and test multifunctional systems. This role will report to the Director of Systems Engineering. Responsibilities: Manage the team of system engineers and integration engineer—duties include growing the team, mentorship, career guidance and development, and performance management. Establish requirements for new software and system hardware enhancements, support efforts for new capabilities, and develop and refine engineering processes and procedures. Drive pragmatic decisions and tradeoffs to maximize the probability of hitting critical timelines. Collaborate and build effective relationships with cross-functional teams to create an efficient product lifecycle flow. Communicate project status and results to senior leaders and key stakeholdersBasic Qualifications:BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or equivalent 4+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, RF engineering, Integration and Test or similar Systems Engineering experience spanning the entire product lifecycle (Concept to Delivery) 1-2 years of experience leading and mentoring teams Ability to steer through ambiguity with minimal guidance Ability to influence cross-functional team members without authority on continuous improvement of internal best practices for system development, integration, and test. Familiarity with RF systems (e.g. radar, comms, EW, etc.) and EOIR systems. Some level of electrical hardware/lab experience, and/or field test experience Experience working with Systems Engineering tools for Requirements Management and Product Lifecycle Management (e.g. JAMA, Polarion, DOORS) and system architecture (SysML, CAMEO). Experience with MATLAB, Python or coding in 3rd or 4th generation languagesPreferred Skills and Experience:Good written and oral communication skills Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is: $168,900—$207,700 USD
