A law firm seeks a highly skilled Mid-Level Real Estate Associate to join its growing team in Chicago. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-volume and complex commercial real estate transactions, representing institutional equity investors and private equity funds. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a broad range of real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures. This role demands strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Duties
Manage and support commercial real estate transactions, focusing on acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. Represent clients throughout all phases of the investment cycle, including advising on complex lending transactions. Work with institutional equity investors and private equity real estate funds to structure and execute joint ventures and investment agreements. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate contracts, leases, and related documents. Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams to handle complex real estate matters. Provide clients with strategic guidance and legal advice regarding real estate investments and financing. Conduct legal research and keep up to date with developments in real estate law to ensure client’s interests are protected. Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law, with a focus on acquisitions, dispositions, and financing. Strong understanding of real estate investment structures, including joint ventures. Proven ability to handle sophisticated lending transactions. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and present complex legal issues. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment. Strong academic credentials and a track record of professional achievements in the legal field. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications
Admission to the Illinois State Bar is required. Skills
