Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, a part of the Pacific Northwest Division of CommonSpirit, is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurology physician to join our esteemed Neurohospitalist team in Tacoma, WA.
Position Overview
We are a well-established and busy neurohospitalist group located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Our group consists of 4 Neurology physicians and one ARNP. We work a block schedule, Monday-Monday followed by a week off. The shifts are either 7a-5p or 5p-7a and there is no call outside of the shifts. We practice general inpatient Neurology including ICU coverage, stroke care and other neurological problems. Candidates must be comfortable and proficient in reading EEGs. The practice is a blend of hands on patient care and also virtual care with other surrounding hospitals. Candidates must be hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated to providing superior patient care.
Our group serves in one of the most rapidly growing areas in the country. Living in the Puget Sound Region provides for active city life, but still offers plenty of outdoor adventures. You can choose between city living and the suburbs.

Hospital Overview
St Joseph Hospital is a 375 bed, Level II Trauma Center located in Tacoma. There is 24/7 in house neurohospitalist coverage. St. Joes has a 16 bed Neuro ICU and has received the Get With The Guidelines - Stroke Quality Achievement Awards, including Stroke Gold Plus, from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. Additionally, SJMC is certified as a comprehensive Stroke Center.

Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
MD or DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible (must become BC within the first two years of employment)
Washington State medical license required at time of employment
DEA, NPI and prescriptive authority
Current BLS for Health Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
Pay Range
$124.29 - $184.78 /hour
