Job Summary as a Senior Benefits Specialist: A senior benefits specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of employee benefit programs. They ensure that programs are cost-effective, meet employee needs, and comply with legal requirements. They also work to maximize employee engagement and understanding of the benefits package. Responsibilities as a Senior Benefits Specialist: - Program design: Researching, analyzing, and recommending new benefit programs - Program implementation: Working with external vendors and brokers to understand local benefits practices and legal requirements - Program administration: Managing the systems and technology that support benefit plans - Program evaluation: Comparing existing programs to peer organizations to determine competitiveness - Program communication: Providing training and guidance to employees and management on benefit policy and provisions - Program budgeting: Developing and monitoring the benefits budget, and ensuring estimates and forecasts are accurate - Program compliance: Ensuring that programs comply with applicable laws and regulations Benefits as a Senior Benefits Specialist: - Profit sharing - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance and disability plans - Immediate holiday pay & paid time off - 401k retirement savings with company match - Pay for school with 100% tuition reimbursement (books included) - On-site café/convenience store - Free on-site wellness coaching and YMCA discount - Corporate partner discounts through Verizon, Chrysler, GM, and Working Advantage - Family/team culture that values communication and growth - Fun perks such as gift cards, 50/50 drawings, picnics, holiday parties, employee appreciation daysand more Requirements: Job Requirements as a Senior Benefits Specialist: - Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field - 3 years of experience in benefits administration - Experience managing & negotiating with benefits vendors and brokers is a plus - CEBS Professional Certificate is a plus - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on employee education. - Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration software Build your career alongside 300 team members in our 50th year of making parts that matter Want to know more about who we are?
