The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOC) is looking for a qualified Senior Accountant to support our Corporate Operations in our Orlando, Florida office.

Under supervision of the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant will ensure accurate processing and recording of the company's accounts payable, provide timely and accurate financial information, daily data entry, and perform related work as required.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform data entry associated with accounts payable Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices Maintain large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures Reconcile assigned ledger accounts to the General Ledger Assist with providing documentation for year-end audits and compliance May oversee tasks performed by AP lower-level accounting staff Provide overall support to the AP department. Assist with month-end close, year-end close, and G/L account reconciliation Other assigned duties
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
2-4 years’ experience in accounts payable Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures Detail-oriented Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills Strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities Strong PC knowledge including proficiency in Excel
DESIRED SKILLS:
Must possess a strong work ethic and be a team player Experience in the Deltek Costpoint Accounting System is preferred Government accounting experience is preferred
DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, or similar field. Additional years of experience may substitute in lieu of degree.
