Compensation: $150k-$160k

This hands-on role involves overseeing all aspects of financial operations, managing government contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Controller Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting using Deltek Costpoint software.
Lead and mentor a team of six in the Accounting Department, ensuring efficient operations in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze cost proposals for various government contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal regulations.
Develop, track, and monitor budgets to ensure alignment with the company's financial goals and objectives, providing timely updates to the management team.
Serve as the primary liaison for financial institutions, managing banking relationships, and overseeing cash management activities.
Implement and manage job costing processes, ensuring accurate cost allocation for projects, and assist in recognizing revenue in compliance with contract terms.
Manage and report on government contracts, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, including the preparation and submission of financial statements to relevant authorities.
Participate in month-end close, account reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements.
Support the business in securing new government contracts by preparing cost reports and other financial documentation required for proposal submissions.
Controller Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
Extensive experience with Deltek Costpoint software is mandatory.
Strong background in government contract accounting, including an understanding of FAR/DFAR regulations and cost reporting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Proven ability to manage a finance team and collaborate across departments.
