Description
The Senior Quality Engineer (Aerospace Manufacturing) Will:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems that align with certification and customer requirements.
- Review customer and system standards to ensure achievable and consistent product quality.
- Create and communicate quality plans, work instructions, and requirements to internal teams and suppliers.
- Develop and document quality control tools, including Process Flow Diagrams, FMEAs, and Control Plans.
- Establish quality system standards, including inspection, testing, and evaluation procedures, to ensure product conformity.
- Define and implement inspection techniques and sampling plans with subject matter experts for efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using tools like Statistical Process Control and root cause analysis.
- Conduct failure analysis, implement corrective actions, and resolve quality-related issues.
- Review and refine manufacturing processes and material handling methods to meet quality standards.
- Communicate directly with customers on quality matters, ensuring timely resolution and satisfaction.
- Host quality audits and collaborate with customers to demonstrate compliance and commitment to quality.
- Lead initiatives to address non-conformance, manage suspect materials, and improve process consistency.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in quality management systems.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards and auditing; certification experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Expertise in problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis for addressing quality issues.
- Proven ability to interact directly with customers, including on-site visits and acting as a liaison between engineering teams and clients.
- Core quality competencies, including inspection, testing, and compliance assurance.
- Experience in internal auditing to ensure adherence to quality systems
