Overview

The

Business Loan Assistant II

provides administrative support and extraordinary service to the Banking team and manages a business loan portfolio while referring prospective business and individual clients to internal business partners. They develop and maintain long term business relationships with clients. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain favorable relationships with current clients. Identify and capture opportunities to cross-sell additional loan and other bank products to clients; including but not limited to partnering with and referring business to internal business partners and related experts to drive Bank profitability and efficiency. Assist in the sales proposal process, including accompanying the Portfolio Manager and Bankers on client and prospect calls. Monitor and input accurate data into the CRM and/or loan workflow system; including but not limited to ensuring accuracy on closing dates, pipeline, funding and paydown reports. Identify and input information needed to onboard new client, new credit facility opportunities, renewals or modifications into the CRM and loan workflow system; verify that the information is complete and accurate prior to submission to underwriting. Identify, collect and/or order, and review required due diligence items necessary to underwrite, document, and close new credit facilities, renewals, or modifications by working with applicant(s), internal employees, and outside vendors; including but not limited to organizational documents, financial statements, title policies, UCC searches, appraisal reports, environmental reports, and know-your-client documents. Upload required due diligence items, financial documents, and loan documents to the appropriate databases. Assist Bankers with requesting and reviewing attorney prepared loan documents to align with the approved credit memo and work with loan documentation team to facilitate the review of the documents. Obtain and review bank-prepared loan documents from the loan documentation team to align with approved credit memo. Facilitate the closing of credit facilities by gathering all the required loan documents and compliance related documentation for execution by the client; ensure all invoices have been paid and fees have been collected from the client; communicate with loan documentation and loan servicing teams regarding the closing, funding, and booking of the loan to the bank's core system. Coordinate with Portfolio Managers and Commercial Credit Underwriters in obtaining, reviewing, and uploading updated financial statements, credit reports, and other financial information required to service commercial loans. Track, collect, and clear post-closing/nonmaterial exception items; including but not limited to final loan policies, recorded and original documents. Monitor, collect and clear upcoming and past due material exceptions and financial covenants as well as documentation. Manage the loan and relationship renewal and review process by coordinating with the client, Portfolio Manager, Banker, and credit department to ensure renewals are done prior to loan maturity and relationships are reviewed on an annual basis. Assist clients in making advances and pay downs on committed loan facilities, and complete routine account transactions. Review and process draw request packets. Monitor daily any overdrafts and past due payments; coordinate with client and/or banker to resolve. Serve as a Business Loan Assistant subject matter expert and resource for other Business Loan Assistants, when needed. Assist in training of new Business Loan Assistants. Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service Use and understand technology necessary to collect, retain, analyze and report critical, requisite information. Effectively communicate throughout all levels within the Bank in written, verbal and presentation formats. Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with other employees, clients, and vendors. Represent the Bank and Commercial Banking team in a highly professional manner. Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work. Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Reliable and predictable onsite attendance. Qualifications

At least 5 years of related work experience. Proven ability to review and understand all loan documentation and to ensure the loan documentation is prepared in accordance with the loan approval. Knowledge of commercial banking products and services, including credit analysis, underwriting, and treasury management products and services. Understanding of organizational documents and identify signors (i.e. Articles of Organization/Incorporation, Bylaws, and Operating Agreements). Salesforce/nCino experience preferred. Effective communicator, results oriented, demonstrates the ability to excel in high-pressure situations. Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate long term relationships and influence others internally and externally. Demonstrated strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills. Proven performer in a fast-paced service-oriented role ideally from a commercial banking environment with strong knowledge and understanding of bank products, services and operations. Proficient technical skills with the Internet and in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
